Spector and Ranger specifications are design targets until flight testing is complete. Beyond-visual-line-of-sight flights need FAA authorization.
Why compliance now matters to a utility
Since December 22, 2025, foreign-made drones cannot receive FCC authorization and federal funds cannot buy them. The Section 232 tariffs that took effect on September 3, 2026 add up to 100 percent to imported thermal-equipped aircraft and components. An operator planning a fleet in 2027 is planning a compliant one. EnCor aircraft are designed and built in Tulsa, Oklahoma, without Section 889 covered components, at published prices.

Do we need NDAA-compliant aircraft for oil and gas work?
Increasingly, yes. Operators of critical infrastructure and their customers are moving to compliant aircraft, and foreign-made drones can no longer receive FCC authorization. EnCor aircraft are built in Tulsa without Section 889 covered components.
Can the aircraft fly a pipeline beyond the pilot's sight?
Flights beyond visual line of sight need FAA authorization, granted case by case today. We do not promise beyond-line-of-sight operation. The Ranger is built for range; the authorization is yours to obtain.
